Church of the Wild

Church of the Wild is a network of churches throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe that are blossoming into a collaborate movement with the common thread of holding worship services outside.

Church of the Wild in Statesville, NC is forming with plans to gather once a quarter at The Starrette Farm to honor the mutual indwelling of the Divine with the Earth and all of its beings, remembering our sacred interconnection and interdependence.

Our time together will be lush through practices from the world’s great religious traditions including indigenous spirituality, prayers, poetry and contemplation.  All of them will connect us with the natural world. As kin.  As sacred.  As beloved co-participants in a larger story of grace and inter-being.  By solo wanderings in the forest we will hear what our beloved friend nature has to teach us.

Rev. Mimi Sherman will host the gathering.  She is an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister and is part of the leadership circle of the Wild Church Network.

Next retreat date: July 29th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  $45 to attend. Mark your calendars for this new and exciting offering and register today by emailing Nancy@starrettefarmretreat.com.
