This retreat offers a simple spiritual tool for deepening our relationship with God, self, and others. The process re-grooves our brain and renews our mind by erasing our interior commentary's constant chatter and prerecorded clichés. The mental static, which we’ve grown accustomed to, keeps us tripped up, stirred up, and stuck. It's called The Human Condition. We learn that it is not bad, not good; it just is. However, there is something we can do about it. We're after the healing action and grace of the Divine Indwelling flowing from our center, a grace that, in time, with our cooperation, produces interior freedom amidst the challenges, chaos, and confusion we all encounter in life. If learning a little tool that supports letting go and opening space for God to dismantle the false-self system — which includes fear, ruffled feathers, pushed buttons, anger, jealousy, wrong motives, addictions, aversions, and more — sounds appealing to you, please join us. Presenters:
Ann Starrette is a commissioned Welcoming Prayer presenter with Contemplative Outreach Ltd and the founder of The Lydia Group, LLC retreat ministry (1998). She also presents retreats, classes, and short talks on Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina.
Nancy Bellamy is an Ordained Chaplain, commissioned Spiritual Formation Coach, Certified Group Spiritual Director, and a Spiritual Director in Training through Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. Nancy is a seasoned presenter of Stations of the Cross retreats at Starrette Farm. In addition, Nancy stewards the land, is the retreat house host, and director of guest services for Starrette Farm Retreat.
